Le projet de batterie de plus de 16 MW apportera des services \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques am\u00e9lior\u00e9s et de nouveaux avantages au r\u00e9seau en chargeant lorsque l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie exc\u00e9dentaire existe et en distribuant cette \u00e9nergie pendant les p\u00e9riodes de forte demande. Le projet r\u00e9duira \u00e9galement les \u00e9missions de GES en offrant une alternative propre aux installations de pointe aliment\u00e9es par des \u00e9nergies fossiles.<\/p>\n\n<p>Le projet Tunnel BESS sera co-implant\u00e9 avec l&rsquo;installation Tunnel Hydro existante de FirstLight, soulignant l&rsquo;opportunit\u00e9 d&rsquo;associer des batteries \u00e0 l&rsquo;hydro\u00e9lectricit\u00e9 pour augmenter l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie renouvelable fournie aux communaut\u00e9s du Connecticut. Le projet \u00e9vite les perturbations pour la communaut\u00e9 locale en r\u00e9affectant la m\u00eame empreinte que le Tunnel Jet Gas Peaker et en utilisant le point d&rsquo;interconnexion existant et l&rsquo;infrastructure de sous-station utilis\u00e9e pour le peaker d\u00e9class\u00e9. <\/p>\n\n<p>Le projet Tunnel BESS s&rsquo;aligne et soutient \u00e9galement les objectifs ambitieux du Connecticut en mati\u00e8re de d\u00e9ploiement d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie propre et d&rsquo;action climatique, notamment la <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cga.ct.gov\/2022\/ACT\/PA\/PDF\/2022PA-00005-R00SB-00010-PA.PDF\">loi publique n\u00b0 22-5<\/a>, imposant z\u00e9ro \u00e9mission de l&rsquo;approvisionnement en \u00e9lectricit\u00e9 d&rsquo;ici 2040, et <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cga.ct.gov\/2021\/ACT\/PA\/PDF\/2021PA-00053-R00SB-00952-PA.PDF\">la loi publique n\u00b0 21-53<\/a>, appelant au d\u00e9ploiement de 1 000 MW de stockage d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie dans le Connecticut d&rsquo;ici 2030.<\/p>\n\n<p>Dans le cadre de l&rsquo;annonce <a href=\"https:\/\/firstlight.energy\/firstlight-partners-with-operation-fuel-new-leaf-in-ct-on-major-clean-energy-environmental-justice-initiatives\/\">de la modernisation du Tunnel Jet<\/a>, FirstLight, en collaboration avec notre partenaire de d\u00e9veloppement New Leaf Energy, a fait don de 60 000 $ de financement de d\u00e9marrage \u00e0 Operation Fuel, le seul programme d&rsquo;aide \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique d&rsquo;urgence ouvert toute l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e dans le Connecticut. Le financement a fait progresser les efforts d&rsquo;Operation Fuel pour cr\u00e9er un programme de formation solide afin de constituer la main-d&rsquo;\u0153uvre de l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie propre du futur qui jouera un r\u00f4le essentiel dans le soutien de la transition vers l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie propre dans le Connecticut et au-del\u00e0.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Avantages du stockage d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie par batterie<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>Les syst\u00e8mes de stockage d\u2019\u00e9nergie par batterie (BESS) sont essentiels pour soutenir un r\u00e9seau \u00e9lectrique d\u00e9carbon\u00e9 fiable gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 leur capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 stocker l\u2019\u00e9nergie provenant de ressources propres intermittentes pendant les p\u00e9riodes de faible demande et \u00e0 distribuer cette \u00e9nergie pendant les p\u00e9riodes de forte demande. La charge BESS utilise l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie fournie par le r\u00e9seau pendant les p\u00e9riodes de faible demande et d&rsquo;offre \u00e9lev\u00e9e, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement \u00e0 midi lorsque l&rsquo;\u00e9nergie solaire est abondante et la nuit lorsque le vent souffle.<\/p>\n\n<p>Les syst\u00e8mes de stockage d\u2019\u00e9nergie par batterie peuvent ensuite renvoyer cette \u00e9nergie sur le r\u00e9seau pendant les p\u00e9riodes de pointe de la demande, souvent le soir lorsque la production solaire diminue. La disponibilit\u00e9 de syst\u00e8mes de stockage comme les BESS permet aux op\u00e9rateurs de r\u00e9seau d\u2019\u00e9viter de recourir \u00e0 des ressources en combustibles fossiles polluants pour combler les d\u00e9ficits de production lorsqu\u2019ils s\u2019efforcent de r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 la demande. Ces ressources sont des compl\u00e9ments essentiels aux ressources propres intermittentes comme l\u2019\u00e9olien et le solaire et offrent la fiabilit\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 mesure que la transition \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique progresse.<\/p>\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>S\u00e9curit\u00e9 du stockage d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie des batteries<\/strong><\/h5>\n\n<p>La s\u00e9curit\u00e9 est primordiale dans tout ce que nous faisons chez FirstLight, y compris notre d\u00e9veloppement de nouveaux projets d\u2019\u00e9nergie propre et de stockage d\u2019\u00e9nergie. Le syst\u00e8me de stockage d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie par batterie du tunnel sera surveill\u00e9 \u00e0 distance 24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7, avec le soutien du personnel sur place de la centrale \u00e9lectrique du tunnel de FirstLight. Il respectera tous les codes de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 incendie applicables du Connecticut et les codes et exigences associ\u00e9s de la National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).<\/p>\n\n<p>FirstLight travaille exclusivement avec des fabricants de batteries r\u00e9put\u00e9s dont les produits r\u00e9pondent aux exigences rigoureuses \u00e9num\u00e9r\u00e9es dans la norme 855 de la National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Normes pour l&rsquo;installation de syst\u00e8mes de stockage d&rsquo;\u00e9nergie stationnaires.
