Former MassCEC CEO joins FirstLight to lead corporate operations at the growing company

BURLINGTON, Mass. – January 17, 2024 – FirstLight, a leading clean power producer, developer, and energy storage company, today announced the hiring of former Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) CEO Jennifer Daloisio as the company’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Operations, effective January 22, 2024. With the company’s expanding footprint following the integration of H2O Power and the recent acquisition of Hydroméga, Daloisio joins the growing team to lead the Human Resources, Information Technology, and External Affairs teams and drive productivity and excellence across the organization.

“We’re thrilled to welcome clean energy champion Jen Daloisio to the FirstLight team,” said Justin Trudell, President and CEO of FirstLight. “The transformational past few years for the company have made clear that the real magic of FirstLight and our ability to drive change lies in our people, and the addition of Jen will both support the productivity and excellence of our team and add yet another proven, innovative mind to drive our mission to accelerate decarbonization.”

Daloisio brings over 25 years of experience working with energy and clean energy companies at various stages and with a wide array of innovative technologies, from energy storage to offshore wind.

“I am delighted to be joining the FirstLight team, continuing my passion for clean energy and the energy transition in this new role,” said Jen Daloisio, incoming Senior Vice President of Corporate Operations at FirstLight. “It is clear that the FirstLight team is uniquely equipped to deliver on their mission to decarbonize electric grids across North America, and I am proud to join this team and make a real difference in addressing climate change at scale, as has long been my personal mission.”

As CEO of MassCEC, Daloisio led efforts to build a robust, internationally competitive clean energy economy in Massachusetts while achieving the Commonwealth’s ambitious net zero climate goals. During her tenure as CEO, she led MassCEC through a period of significant growth, awarding over $275 million in grants and investments and delivering the organization’s equity workforce development programming. She first joined MassCEC as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer in November 2014. In that role, she led finance, information technology, human resources, external affairs, and operations for the organization. A nationally recognized leader in clean energy and climate tech, MassCEC has an operating budget of over $150 million and more than 75 full-time employees. Prior to joining MassCEC, Daloisio practiced public accounting for 18 years at Deloitte.

Daloisio serves on the Board of Directors of Greentown Labs and the Northeast Clean Energy Council Institute and in 2022 was appointed by the Governor to the Massachusetts STEM Advisory Council. In 2023, she was awarded The Engineering Center Education Trust’s Leadership Award, and in 2022, she received Smart Energy Decisions’ Women in Smart Energy (WISE) Industry Veteran Award. Daloisio is a Certified Public Accountant and graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
