Bulls Bridge Recreation Area
Although the view from the observation deck on Bulls Bridge island is great year around, it is most stunning during foliage season. Park and walk through the covered bridge that spans the Housatonic River, then head for the observation deck. Don’t forget your camera!

Hiking, Fishing, and a Spectacular Scenic Overlook
The Bulls Bridge Recreation Area in Kent features some of the most stunning scenery in all of Connecticut. Walk across the covered bridge and into hiking trails that connect directly into the Appalachian Trail, trails that overlook spectacular natural falls and rapids on the Housatonic River. The site also offers picnicking and access to excellent whitewater rapids.
A second recreation area is located adjacent the power house and provides for downstream canoe portage, picnicking, grills, and a public restroom. This location also has a shoreline buffer demonstration area that provides for shoreline fishing access.
