The Stevenson Dam creates Lake Zoar, one of Connecticut’s largest lakes that hosts several publicly accessible State Parks. Kettletown Park is a 605 acre park which activities include swimming, 56 camp sites, hiking, picnicking, and fishing. The Paugussett State Forest abuts the reservoir and hosts countless trails and vistas of the Housatonic River Valley which is the watershed for the Stevenson Dam. Learn more.

FirstLight also maintains a picnicking area at Stevenson Station which provides spectacular views of the dam and is especially exciting to see during high water seasons.
